At Your Island Home our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve ensuring the right care, in Your Own Island Home.  We support people living dementia and cognitive decline, seniors, and adults living with a disability including NDIS participants. Our services help clients to remain safe and independent in their homes.

Our team provides domestic assistance, social support, personal care, transportation, flexible respite care, home and garden services and lifestyle and wellness care. Our tailored services help you and your loved ones to maintain independence, and a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.

Cooking

We can prepare meals or help the client prepare their meals. This may include shopping for ingredients and the preparation of meal plans. We can assist with dietary and nutritional planning.

Respite Care for Family Caregivers

We can help family caregivers with the essential breaks they need from the pressure of looking after their loved ones.

Transportation Services

We can assist our clients getting to and from medical appointments, assisting with being discharged from hospital, travel on shopping and socialisation visits. Transportation can be either with our carer’s vehicle or the client’s vehicle as the case may be.

Organisation Services

We can help with the planning of our client’s activities of daily living. This would include visits to the doctor, hair salon, bank, podiatrist, physiotherapist as the case may be.

Companionship, Socialisation, Domestic Assistance & Transport

Light housekeeping and meal preparation can become frustrating tasks for those affected by ageing. Your Island Home provides assistance for numerous daily activities, as well as basic peace-of-mind services.

Light Housekeeping

Light housekeeping can include dusting and vacuuming, packing and unpacking the dishwasher. It does not include heavy cleaning like washing windows.

Sorting out the washing, ironing and your linen cupboard can be a great help.

Home & Gardening Services

Home and gardening services can include, gutter cleaning, general gardening and maintenance, lawn mowing and pruning, sweeping and clearing leaves, changing lightbulbs.

Socialisation

This includes any activity where the client has the opportunity to get out of the home to socialise like visiting friends, going for coffee or to the theatre, RSL, library, or art gallery, and other similar activities.

Cognitive Stimulation

This includes any activity to help with mental stimulation, such as puzzles, Scrabble, Bridge, cards and reading.
